About Me
For the past 6 years, I’ve coached dozens of clients to reach their individual goals. Some clients have never set foot in a gym before and want to live a healthier, more active life. Others are trained athletes looking to reach their next level of performance. Just as each individual is different and unique, so is my approach to helping you reach your health and fitness goals. It is my passion to help people live a healthier lifestyle, and be able to coach them through it every step of the way.
From a young age, I was always drawn to movement and physical activity. I’ve always enjoyed sports and athletic pursuits—starting with soccer and eventually evolving towards alternative sports like skateboarding, dirt bikes, climbing and more.
I nurtured this passion in my academic career, earning a B.S. in Kinesiology, concentrating in Movement Science. In and out of academic settings, I sought to improve my knowledge of everything movement related: starting with how movement begins on a micro scale and understanding motor patterns through biomechanics. I also pursued preventative health more actively and earned my Emergency Medical Technician certification. After working as full-time as an EMT for a year, I became an Exercise Physiologist and worked in a cardiac rehabilitation facility.
As I progressed into training, my structure was centered mostly around bodybuilding and powerlifting, however I was also drawn to freestyle calisthenics. I competed in several freestyle calisthenics competitions, intuitively creating new ways to move and control my body.
Since then I’ve stepped on stage as an NPC Men’s Physique competitor and kickstarted a career as a trainer, mentor, and coach. I’ve worked for one of the largest tech companies in the Bay Area as a full-time trainer, and was hand selected to be a full-time trainer for a VC.
There’s no one-size fits all approach to fitness. When I work with clients, I not only take the time to understand their history and their goals, but I also strive to form a deeper connection. I take the time to learn what motivates them, what drives them, what challenges they face. Establishing a rapport is just as important as building an effective program, and I pride myself in taking the time to develop both.
I look forward to challenging you, supporting you and helping you reach your goals. Let's set the standard and take control of your health!
